Summary
Flogit4u, one of the country's leading online-auction houses is looking to add a new member to their existing team.
The role as an eBay consultant will primarily be based in the IT branch of the company but also may involve other duties.
The job would suit an individual with experience and an interest in IT hardware (laptops, PCs etc) and consumer electronics.
The position would include an initial trial period and a competitive pay rate for the right candidate.
Candidates should be articulate, well presented, computer literate, and enthusiastic.
Main Job Role
• Handling, checking, creating inventory of IT related items (PCs, monitors, laptops etc) for new and existing, corporate and private clients
• Listing items using Flogit4u's software to create and upload items to eBay
• Providing customer and technical support
• Hard disk data destruction using specific software packages
• Liaising with corporate clients via email, telephone, and on occasion through formal meetings
• Using eBay as a sales platform and communicating with eBay customers
• Researching sales history databases to help identify profitable stock
• Sales and negotiation with private customers
Other roles
• Organising items for photography and shipping
• Listing other non-IT related items from private and business clients
• Customer service support via telephone, email, and with walk-in customers (especially on Saturdays)
Job Requirements
Essential
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Customer service experience and ability to communicate
• Excellent telephone manner
• Experience of using eBay
• Knowledge of IT and software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
• Numerical and literacy skills
• Timekeeping
• Educated to degree level and/or a proven work record
• Ability to work under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems
• Willingness to carry heavy items
• Willingness to learn and progress
• Willingness to work on Saturdays
Desired
• Experience of stock management
• Sales experience
• Research based experience (through previous work or related degree subject)
• Ability to innovate and to motivate others
• Advanced spreadsheet knowledge/techniques
• Advanced eBay knowledge
• Ability to communicate at corporate level
