Olympia International Horse Show Recruitment Open Day Thursday 26th December
BLUE ARROW CITY are holding a recruitment-open day tomorrow Thursday 26th November between 10am - 3pm.
This is a FABULOUS opportunity for exceptional silver-service standard staff to work at one of London's most high end Royal events- The Olympia International Horse Show from 15th - 21st December 2009,
What we are looking the best in the business in the following categories:
• VIP Box Plate Waiter :
Each VIP box has wonderful views of the arena enabling guests to enjoy the performance in great style. Each box can accommodate up to 18 guests.
Responsibility of a Box waiter:
- Prepare box station for service.
- Ensure that the box have all necessary utensils/equipment
- Take orders
- Deliver / clear food and beverage to silver service standard:
- Assist with buffet service.
- Understand daily menus
• Runners
Responsibility of Runners:
Deliver and clear food and beverages from the kitchens to the boxes via lifts.
Assist with buffet service.
• Silver Service Staff:
Responsibility of Silver Service Staff:
Serve food to box paying customers with canapes/drinks and/or full dinner, including the royals
Deliver / clear food and beverage to silver service standard to box paying customers
Assist with buffet service.
Understand daily menus
• Bar Dispenser :
Responsibility of Bar Dispenser:
Serve drinks for box paying customers with drinks only or the downstairs area for general admission
• Cocktail bar staff :
Responsibility of Cocktail Bar Staff
Working behind the bar in the VIP/patrons area
Count float at beginning of shift.
Cash up the till at the end of the shift and complete necessary paperwork.
Ensure good cash handling rules are observed at all times.
Understand the menu and pricing structure.
Serve customers in a polite and friendly manner.
Prepare Bar for service as instructed.
Serve drinks.
Applicant Requirements:
Good communication skills required
Knowledge of accompaniments to food
Good knowledge of wines
Good understanding of Service Etiquette
Must have good command of the English
Full induction and training is part of recruitment procedure and the sessions will be held on 27th November, so you must be available on all these days as well.
As this is one of Londons most glamorous events all applicants must be bright, enthusiastic, have great presentation and 100% avaliable to start work FULL-TIME from December 1st.

The easiest way is to go to Bank station, exit 6. Go straight down the road (follow Lombard street and then Fenchurch Street). You should see a Mark and Spencer, Sainsbury, and a cafe Nero. At the Cafe Nero, turn right. You will see HSBC BANK. We are on the left corner, next door to Fenchurch street station. It should take you about 10 minutes from bank station.
