I have 15 years of professional instrumental teaching experience behind me, and know how to guide students through their development. Some of my students have been with me for 6 years (one of them has been with me for 8 years!)

I hold a BMus (Hons) in Music And Sound Recording (Tonmeister), alongside ABRSM Grade VIII (performance) plus Grade V theory (Distinction).

I have developed my own method for teaching practical music theory - it simplifies the myriad of complexities involved in getting a usable grip on this important tool for your playing. It also allows for easier improvisation...

You may notice I charge a little more than some other guitar/piano teachers you see advertised on Gumtree. There are plenty of teachers out there - my strength is that I am an actual TEACHER rather than a good player who turns their hand to teaching without the experience required to really develop a player. A great player alone does not an effective teacher make! Try me out - just the first couple of lessons will speak for themselves!

I mainly teach to intermediate players who already have some of the basics together, but I will also consider absolute beginners.
