We are now recruiting for the following position:

Conference Manager
(Maternity Cover)

With a minimum of 1 to 2 years of successful experience as Conference Manager in a similar operation, you will need strong organizational skills, excellent customer relationship skills, ability to close sales, a keen eye for detail, solution-orientated attitude and a good understanding of financial aspects.

Your main duties will be:

- Responsible for the effective and efficient running of operations, provision of all services and profitability of the Conference department;
- Receive incoming calls, analyse client needs, prepare quotes, negotiate and conclude sales ensuring a prompt and professional follow up;
- Assist with marketing of the function and the hotel, organise and co-ordinate promotional events within the hotel with the assistance of the Sales Coordinator;
- Administrative duties will be part of the position so you must be organised and able to prioritise.

This position is full-time and will run for a period of six to twelve months and will expire on return to work of the current post holder.
