I am looking for an investor for a start-up company which will be importing branded clothing from Italy and selling in the UK through a variety of channels. I have an excellent supplier who acts as a broker for a number of manufacturers which are household names but the problem is that when you deal at this level it requires a large up-front investment in inventory.

I am putting £10,000 of my own money into the venture and am looking for an investor or investors who are willing to invest an additional £10,000. Ideally your investment will be structured as a loan with recourse to all the assets of the company, so in the event of default you own 100% of the assets (which include the inventory that this loan is funding). The limited company is already incorporated and is VAT registered, and any loan agreement between the company and an outside investor will be reviewed and witnessed by a solicitor. I am flexible with the loan structure, so if you want to get your money back quickly I could, for example, repay the loan in 3 or 4 months at an annualised rate of 60% (so you get back 15%-20% for 3 or 4 months). In any case this will be decided between us if you are interested in investing. I can of course provide more details on the business to interested parties and would like to meet in person before any sort of deal is reached.
