Courier Systems are looking for 2 additional HGV drivers to operate out of their 2 Slough warehouses.
We are currently operating both 7.5 and 18 ton trucks so the ability to drive both will be an asset. We may well soon operate "artics" if you can drive them too then this will also be an advantage but not critical.
You will need to have a digital tacho.
The successful candidates need to live locally, have clean licences and be able to provide checkable references over the last 5 years. This does not mean continuous employment during that period. (This is to allow the driver to obtain airside clearance at Heathrow if required). Someone with a criminal record would not obtain such clearance.
The work would be varied involving local and long distance driving.
The successful candidate would also need to be willing to work in the warehouse when required and should be able to drive a forklift proficiently.
Some shift work may be required as we are trunking at night as well as our daytime deliveries.
Candidates should be smart and polite with a flexible and positive attitude.
Candidates must also be able to speak English and write reasonably well.
