Wanted! Great Cooks or Chefs who enjoy looking after people as much as they do cooking!

We are looking for an established couple or a pair of friends to run a 22 bed Alpine Chalet in the spectacular Dolomites of northern Italy.

Collett’s are a small, independent mountain holiday specialist, who have been operating in the Dolomites for 11 years now. We are looking for sociable, friendly and engaging people with a passion for food and a flair for cooking to join a small, friendly resort team of returning staff, who know the job and the area well, and who would make the settling in period as easy as it could be.

The Job

The chalet in question sleeps up to 22 people, so you would be cooking for up to 26. As well as the domestic management of the chalet (cleaning, food ordering etc.) you would be making breakfast and a three course evening meal six days a week, with one full day off. The emphasis is on creating a ‘home from home’ atmosphere and providing excellent ‘home cooked food’ with an extra special twist. You would very much be at the heart of our guests’ holiday, eating with them each evening, and looking after them as if they were staying in your own home.

Experience Required

One of you certainly needs to be a great cook. We don’t mind if you don’t have formal qualifications but some experience of cooking for numbers would be useful. If you know you are a great cook and you have always enjoyed throwing dinner parties and cooking for friends and family then give us a call. If you do have more formal experience as a chef, all the better!

The Package

As well as the weekly wage we provide you with a full Superski Dolomiti Ski pass for the season, ski and boot hire, all meals (except on the day off) accommodation, travel to and from resort, medical insurance, and a ten day period of orientation and training at the start of the season.

Skiing in the Dolomites

If you have only ever skied in France, Austria or other parts of the world you are in for a treat. The Dolomites are effectively the south eastern corner of the main Alpine chain and boast access to one of the largest ski areas in the world under one pass. With a thoroughly modern infrastructure of lifts and one of the best snow records in Europe in recent years, you ski here from valley to valley, village to village, with hardly ever a queue, surrounded by spectacular scenery guaranteed to blow your socks off. And we aren’t exaggerating . . .
