First of all, the most important bit, my demos:

I’m a vocalist based in London trying to set up a new project in the alternative / pop/ pop- punk / Indie / American Indie / rock genres. Some personal influences include: Jacks Mannequin, all American rejects, this day and age, jimmy eat world, some new kings of leon, aqualung, biffy clyro, twin atlantic, farewell, goo goo dolls, head automatica, Kids in glass houses, the hush sound, some idlewild. So much more, including more mainstream bands.

I’ve been in this city for almost 2 years but have had no luck in finding a suitable band, so I have written a couple of home demos now in hope of getting some like minded people in to get something awesome n uplifting going. Guitarist (possibly 2), bassist drummer. I’m thinking some keys / synths too, but I might do that. At least one person that is comfortable with backing vocals, harmonies etc.

What I am looking for:

1. people that know their instruments and can apply their own input and creativity to an idea and are not afraid to try different things. I’m not out to write songs for the band, I want the band to fashion and design the material together as one unit. The demos are purely to get like minded people in that share a similar interest in these types of songs. I’m no pro guitarist, I’m no pro bassist, I’m no pro key player and certainly no drummer, the recorded songs are thus all open to be re-worked and tweaked and are open to new, fresh angles and approaches.
2. people that understand that entertaining on a stage is as vital, if not more important (sometimes) than writing good tunes. We need to move up there and interact n have fun yo! Presence goes very far in the game. It’s the buzz that gets things going. We feed off the respect and passion that the fans give us in return for great music that we love n call our own.
3. People that are laid back and easy going, but will focus n work hard when it’s expected.
4. People that are willing to make some sacrifices that will ultimately benefit the band and its existence i.e: putting in time, effort and personal finances into recordings, videos, tour, marketing etc.
5.Ideally anyone between 24 and 31 (I’m 30) but I’m open if the profiles fits.


What I’m not looking for:

1. big egos (I wont elaborate on this, you would know if you classify as one)
2. time wasters, (again, you’ll know if you fit this profile)


Bonuses:

I’m kind of very into the Fender telecaster / strat sounds, It would be awesome if you (the guitarist / s) felt the same way. This is not a necessity, but as said, it’s a bonus. They do sound hot, you know it!

I NEED TO HEAR SOME SAMPLES OF YOUR WORK. PLEEEAASSEE. IT’S NOT THAT DIFFICULT TO GET SOMETHING DOWN. IM A MUSICIAN, I LISTEN TO MUSIC AS ONE, IF YOU HAVE NO DECENT RECORDINGS, RECORD ON YOUR MOBILE OR CAMERA, EASY!
