Organization Description:
Based in Rainham, Essex, we are a rapidly expanding Telecommunications Company which specialises in Micro Billing Payments predominantly for the adult industry. GlobalCharge delivers innovative billing technology to its multi-national client list including reverse billed SMS and premium voice services.

Skills Required:
• Unix / Linux BSD, Redhat, Fedora, CentOS administration skills and experience.
• Hands on skills with MySQL DB.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, switches, routers and firewalls.
• Would be useful but not essential - Knowledge of Perl / PHP scripting.
• Would be useful but not essential - Exposure to monitoring software products such as Nagios or Cacti.

Job Responsibilities:
• Providing support for Linux based servers and performing routine administration tasks.
• Administration and monitoring of MySQL DB servers for stability and performance.
• Resolve technical challenges encountered in LAMP technologies.
• Monitoring the network for any failure points to avoid network outages and downtime.
• Rapid identification and resolution of any network incidents.
• On-going development of the system and services.

The Candidate:
• Must possess a professional, flexible and proactive approach towards incident resolution.
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal & problem solving skills.
• Degree qualified in IT or related
• Eager to learn on the job
• We will provide on the job training and access to additional training courses where applicable.
