Purchase Ledger Assistant

IMMEDIATE INTERVIEW & START FOR SUITABLE CANDIDATE

We are a busy, expanding electronics company who now require an experienced accounts professional to take responsibility for a range of Purchase Ledger duties.

LOCATION:
Welwyn Garden City - a few minutes from the town centre and mainline train station. Close to Hatfield Galleria. (Approx 30-mins from Kings Cross).

HOURS & SALARY:
Part time or full-time position (Hours Negotiable)
Minimum 3 days per week (Mon-Fri).
Full-time Salary £18,000 - £22,000, part-time paid pro-rata.

MAIN DUTIES:
* Checking invoices against purchase orders
* Data entry of invoices onto accounts system
* Entry of card, cheque and bank payments
* Reconciling supplier account statements
* Handling staff expenses and petty cash
* Preparing payment schedules
* Resolving invoice queries
* Preparing & issuing payments
* Preparing management reports
* Liasing with staff, suppliers and associates

1. As well as the technical accounting skills, you must have the necessary inter-personal skills and STRONG ENGLISH LANGUAGE skills to communicate confidently with staff, suppliers and associates by email, letter and telephone.

2. You will need to be permanently RESIDENT IN THE UK FOR AT LEAST THE LAST 3 YEARS

3. You will need a MINIMUM 12 MONTHS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE in a similar role in a commercial environment in the UK.
