Required for January 2009; a dynamic colleague to teach in our newly refurbished DT department. We welcome applications from NQTs and more experienced staff.

The successful candidate will have:

• A sound subject knowledge
• A creative approach to future development
• A proven track record as an outstanding classroom practitioner
• The ability to promote sound relationships
• A commitment to high standards and expectations
• The ability to teach across key stages 3 and 4
• The ability to teach Resistant Materials to key stage 4 - with possibly some key stage 3 Graphics / Electronics

The pupils who attend this school are drawn from a varied catchment area, and the behaviour of some within the school is described as challenging. The staff are friendly and supportive with a pro-active approach to behaviour management. The comprehensive discipline policy is applied consistently and all pupils have a clear understanding of expectations.
