Housing, Debt, Welfare Benefits, Community Care Supervisor
This well-known dynamic firm based in North London with an excellent reputation for providing high quality legal services has recently been awarded a large Social Welfare Contract by the Legal Services Commission and are looking to recruit an experienced Solicitor, Legal Executive or Case Worker to assist with the caseload.
The successful candidate will have supervisor status from the LSC, with extensive knowledge of publicly funded work in housing, welfare benefits, debt and community care or a combination of these areas. An immediate start is available and the role has good long-term prospects for the right candidates.
MAIN DUTIES:
-Managing own broad caseload - wide ranging including:
-Housing - homelessness; unlawful eviction; disrepair; repossession. Debt - bankruptcy; credit card debt etc. Welfare Benefits including knowledge of tribunal work; Community care - vulnerability issues; breach of statutory duty
-Advocacy
-Supervision
-Knowledge of Judicial review proceedings and tribunals
ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS:
-Supervisory status from the LSC in the following areas: Housing, Debt, Welfare Benefits, Community Care
-Candidates can be qualified Solicitors, Legal Executives or experienced Case Workers
