Cummunity Support Representative
Job title: Community Support Representative
Team: Gumtree
Salary: £16,000 per annum
Hours: Shifts between Monday – Friday 8 – 10 Saturday and Sunday 10 – 6
(estimated every other Saturday and Sunday)

We current currently have vacancies for temporary Community Support Representatives within our Gumtree team

Gumtree is already the largest classifieds site in the UK and growing like a weed in the UK and internationally. With your help, this will continue for some time to come!
The Gumtree Community team comprises of three key functions: User Support, Ad Quality and Trust & Safety. These functions all play a vital role in ensuring a fantastic user experience on Gumtree through helping users with their questions/ issues, ensuring a high quality of ads and responses to ads on the site and keeping the site free of illegal activity/ fraud/ abuse.
Overall purpose of role:
• Providing a great email support service to Gumtree users
• Fostering a trusted and safe online environment for Gumtree users through effectively detecting fraudulent/ illegal activity on the site
• Helping ensure a high quality of ads on the Gumtree sites.
Key responsibilities:
• Responding to user support emails efficiently and with a human touch
• Conducting targeted ad screening activities on the sites to identify ads that are inappropriate or against policy and using administrative tools to remove them as quickly as possible
• Banning or educating users in line with moderation policy
• Escalating technical issues to the technical support team
• Reporting on the key user issues seen and suggesting solutions
• Working closely with colleagues in the Community team to share information and best practice
• Using admin tools to detect illegal/ fraudulent activity and take quick action
• Responding quickly to user reports of fraudulent/ illegal activity
Experience/ skills/ personal qualities required:
• Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Outlook
• Excellent standard of English both written and verbal
• Strong internet skills, experienced internet user
• Diligent, with excellent attention to detail
• Fast learner
• Previous customer service experience a bonus
• Keen to work in a fun, hard-working environment and make a difference
