This leading International Law Firm are looking for a senior lawyer to work on secondment to one of their clients, based in Reading. The role will initially be an ongoing contract, but could become permanent for the right candidate.

The firms client are a leading construction / manufacturing company and have offices in more than 115 countries worldwide
The firm are looking for someone who will be capable of performing this role with little supervision (they will be the only solicitor in the firm) so ideally someone who has worked in-house, potentially as a sole operator, and would be able to hit the ground running. They need to have some litigation experience though for high level legal advice the client would liaise with the law firm directly

Candidates can be qualified in any jurisdiction

The vacancy is a liaison role - following up queries and finding documents , document control (data room), meeting & minute management & co-ordination, general basic internal advice in terms of directors€™ duties,
company law, money laundering & other basics.
We would hope for a generalist who in times of lull in the litigation might assist in areas such as support to the export committee, pension scheme, company secretarial etc.

We would expect a lawyer with the given PQE to have gained the level of experience required, but this does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE.
