Fit For Sport deliver School Services, Accredited Training and activities for Children & Families as well as our successful Fitter Schools and Fitter Families FREE UK initiatives. All aimed at engaging and educating children and their families on how to easily adopt a healthier lifestyle, through routine habit changes incorporating throughout its SAS message (Simple, Achievable and Sustainable)
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as activity leaders.
Activity Leaders (Full time/Part time)
To be responsible for the delivery of Fit For Sport services in term time and holiday periods, including delivery of lessons, including setting lesson plans, delivery of breakfast & extended schools clubs, co-ordinate after school programme, sports fixtures, school reports and general school liaison in accordance with the Children’s Act/OFSTED regulations and the Fit For Sport philosophy.
KEY ROLES
• Assist and deliver curriculum sports to school children aged between 3yrs-14yrs including football, basketball, dance, gymnastics, athletics, rounder’s, tennis, etc.
• Assist and deliver Breakfast and Extended school clubs. This will include delivering sports activities, preparing food, and arts & crafts sessions.
• Maintain a high standard of safety during activities and be aware of Health & Safety issues (Risk Assessments, Procedures, etc)
• Report accidents/complaints/feedback utilising relevant forms.
• Co-ordinate bookings for sports venues through the Fit For Sport head office.
• Learn all operational aspects in line with provisions of the Children’s Act/OFSTED Regulations. Providing relevant documents and arrangements as required.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of school services/curriculum corresponding with related organizations and businesses.
• Maintenance of all FFS/School equipment.
It is anticipated that in order to be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
• Enthusiasm and energy to initiate activities/lessons in a safe environment and ensure the team’s energy is maintained throughout the day.
• To be a role model for all children, developing positive relations with all children including monitoring social skills, participation, discipline and welfare.
• Ability to communicate with parents/guardians providing constant feedback and ensuring parents are given prior notice to events/fixtures
• Previous experience and qualifications desired (Sports Coaching Awards, Sport Studies/Science Graduates, PGCE, QTS, NNEB, GNVQ, etc)
*Training provided including NVQ and sports specific coaching courses
