Our client the UK's Leading Licensing & Copyright Organisation carries out a unique role at the heart of the music industry responsible for paying music creators promptly and regularly when their music is performed, broadcast, recorded, downloaded or streamed in the most efficient way with the lowest administration and commission rates possible. With an annual turnover in excess of £500m and 850 employees, and embarking on innovative organisational change, there are great opportunities.

The client is currently recruiting an Online Licensing Consultant in order to expand licensing potential in the online and mobile arena. The key responsibility for the position is assisting and maintaining relationships, raising the company’s profile, implementing licensing policy and maximizing revenue.

Specific duties include:

• Negotiating and ‘owning’ relationships with medium tier licensees

• Assisting in negotiation of license terms with complex and strategically important services

• Walking licensees through the complexities of Pan European Licensing

• Ensuring efficient and effective administration of day-to-day licensing

• Developing and maintaining good customer relationships

• Educating and advising licensees about our licensing schemes.

An experienced account manager you will have strong commercial negotiation skills including complex contractual issues. A proven tenacious attitude and knowledge of the online and mobile market are essential as is a good general knowledge of music licensing schemes.
