**Judge to be ‘Good’ in all aspects (OfSTED 11/2008)
This specialist EBD (Emotional Behaviour Difficulties) school requires a teacher of mathematics to work on a full time basis from January 2010. You should be qualified and enthusiastic with at least one year's experience working with EBD or SEN pupils. The school caters for young people with extremely challenging behaviour whose needs cannot be met in a mainstream school. A third of students have been permanently excluded from their school and most students have statements of special educational needs for their challenging behaviour.
The curriculum is pertinent to the learning needs of students and is constantly under review to ensure it meets their ever-changing needs. The curriculum fully supports students' personal development and encourages them to become more responsible for managing their own behaviour. The school boasts excellent relationships and mutual respect between staff and students which is clearly evident and the result is a very positive and supportive working environment. Students have positive attitudes in lessons and appreciate the individual support they receive.
