Our clients are keen to live independently with the help of their live-in carer. They all live in their own homes and have busy lifestyles. Our live-in carers stay with the same client for a minimum of 3 months and are well supported by their care co-ordinator who also visits on a regular basis. Most of our live-in carers work for 3 months, have a holiday for as long as they want, then come back for more work. Others work for longer than 3 months. Our work pattern is quite flexible.

We are always careful to match our applicant's skills, hobbies and interests to our client's so that they have similar interests and get on well together.




ENA REQUIREMENTS:

• 21 years old or over
• Have a driving licence valid for driving in the UK
• Be able to speak clear fluent English
• Be able to commit to working for 3 months minimum




ONE OF OUR CURRENT VACANCIES:

We are currently looking for an experienced carer for a client of ours who is in his 60s and has very specific needs. He suffers from Friedrechs Ataxia, so we are ideally looking for someone who has a good understanding of this and of the associated aspects of this condition.

This client is a mild mannered man with a good sense of humour. He is able to direct his carer and is keen to be as independence as he can. There is a lot of hoisting in this position so previous hoisting experience is essential. In the past this client has had middle aged* carers who speak very clear fluent English and have a lot of patience and understanding. He is looking for a live-in carer who is a good communicator, who enjoys life and is cheerful. It is also important that the carer in this position is comfortable living in a very sociable environment as this client has people round at his house frequently to play card games and chess. He also spends a lot of time in front of his computer and also likes to watch a bit of TV in the evenings. Duties will include some personal care, helping the client with light housework, shopping and cooking.

This job is located in the suburbs of a large historic town full of character in Essex with some really nice quaint old style shopping areas and located only half and hour away from some lovely sandy beaches. The carer in this position would have their own room with TV and sole use of a bathroom.

This position is due to start in the first week of December, with 4 days of training (Monday to Thursday) to be fitted in any week before that.
