We are an Australian/Irish couple looking for a live out nanny to look after our 1-year old boy in a beautiful part of north west London (handy for Belsize Park, Swiss Cottage and Finchley Road tube stations and Hampstead Heath overland) from February 2010. Our boy is very sweet natured, sociable and keen to explore. He enjoys meeting other children and loves to go out for walks.

We are looking for an Ofsted registered nanny, or alternatively a nanny who is able and willing to become registered with Ofsted. Our nanny will speak fluent English and the ability to speak Cantonese would be a bonus. All applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK. Our nanny will have at least 3 years’ experience of working with children of the same age as our boy. We will require references from referees who can provide an up-to-date recommendation and whom we can contact. Our nanny must be a non-smoker, have a clear CRB and first aid certificate for babies and children.

The hours will be 8.30am until 6.30pm Monday to Thursday (to be confirmed), with an occasional requirement to work on Fridays (which will be agreed in advance and paid pro-rata).

We are looking for a nanny who will also be willing take on some household chores, such as ironing and light cleaning, and to cook fresh food for our baby from time to time.

Most of all, we are looking for a nanny who is patient, loving and generous, who will become a friend to all three of us and take good care of our most precious little boy and help him to grown into a kind and responsible person.
