Senior Account Manager

Maternity cover role
*eligible to work in the UK*

Work with Account Director and manage two account handlers to run the UK customer advocacy programme.

Responsibilities include:

Account Management
• Develop and maintain overall client budgets and customer evidence programmes
• Undertake briefings from clients, including responding with proposals, budget estimates and timelines
• Day-to-day client liaison and work-in-progress reporting
• Liaise with a number of stakeholders and budget holders
• Participating in client conference calls and meetings
• Establish best practice and processes within the team and ensure programme deliverables meet and exceed client requirements
• Managing ad-hoc projects as required e.g. e-mail newsletters, PowerPoint decks, print materials, internal and external Web sites etc
• Assist Account Executives in execution of deliverables and support in client meetings
• Manage internal service teams to ensure client marketing programmes/projects run smoothly
• Escalation of task over-runs/issues to Account Director

Team Management
• Support individuals in day-to-day tasks
• Ensure work done by individuals is to standard for internal teams as well as client
• Conduct appraisals, and build and maintain development plans

Project Ownership
• Develop and maintain client relationships with allocated accounts
• Meet agreed client deadlines and proactively manage client expectations and delivery
• Meet agreed Metia and client reporting requirements including budget status and programme updates
• Arrange and attend regular work in progress calls and/or meetings
• Ensure clients are invoiced correctly and on time
• Be aware of how much time is allocated to each client/project and monitor activity

Client Relations
• Develop an understanding of client’s business, and that of their customers and partners
• Develop relationships with existing clients and potential clients
• Understand client CAP requirements and how Metia can meet these
• Identify and communicate new business opportunities

Organisation
• Organise and prioritise workload to accomplish specific goals to agreed deadline
• Apply processes to monitor the progress and results of project tasks both for yourself and for reports
• Ensure resource is available for existing and new programmes and that all teams involved within Metia are aware
• Actively identify, pitch and win new business and plan resources accordingly

Communication
• Express information, both written and verbal, in a manner that is appropriate, concise and accurate to both clients and colleagues
• Take and deliver briefs from the clients to internal teams
• Act as a central hub of communication and information for the client
• Work with internal teams to ensure deliverables are consistent and are in line with established best practices

Business Development
• Work to develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients
• Attend new business meetings
• Develop professional relationships with both internal and external contacts

Knowledge and Influence
• Understand your client business and CAP needs
• Developing relationships with existing clients and new clients and demonstrating your knowledge and vision in this area
• Act in a consultative capacity to clients to ensure that CAP programmes are effective as possible
• Working within Metia to ensure best practices are enforced and working efficiently with a number of internal teams including Editorial, Software and Designers.
