About the role
---------------------
We are looking for a dedicated, ambitious and talented Senior Web Developer to join our dynamic team. Prior experience in internet startups/companies is preferred.

You will be working directly with the CTO on defining new features and the growth/scalability strategy for the site, as well as any other technical matters (like development methodology etc).

You will be responsible for the implementation of the above either by directly implementing yourself or working as part of the development team.

In addition to outstanding technical skills, you will also need to have excellent communication skills (oral and written) and very good commercial understanding.


Required Knowledge/Experience/Skills
------------------------------------------------------------
3+ years commercial development experience with PHP/MySQL (extensive knowledge PHP 5 is a must)
Very good knowledge of Apache/Linux
Comprehensive understanding of relational databases and object-oriented concepts/methodologies, including design patterns
Excellent CSS/XHTML/HTML skills (must have experience in developing CSS-based websites)
Very good AJAX/JavaScript knowledge
Only candidates who have the right to work in the UK will be considered


Desired skills/experience
---------------------------------------
Computer Science degree (not essential but a CS degree is preferable)
Good understanding/experience of development methodologies – particularly AGILE methods
Experience with PHP frameworks like Zend and Symfony
Experience at internet startup/company
Experience in server administration (LAMP)
Design/usability skills/experience a big bonus but not essential
Location

You will be based in our offices in central London (Earl's Court/West Brompton).
