How pleased was i to get £200 return flights for the wife and I to Bodrum for next week. Cant wait to get away from this hell hole!
With Hotel stay at 30 T lira per night (about £12) I feel we can get away from MPs expenses and swine flu for a while.

Where we are staying is about 3 mins from the sea and everything will be dirt cheap as we will not have to exchange our weak £ with euros.

Turkish Lira is still 2.3ish to the £.

The reason we are going is to see how our villa is progressing!

Update- just got back and apart from being very pleased with our villa progress i must say the sea was warm and we had our first wind surf lessons on our local beach (15 mins walk from the villas)
Every meal was eaten in the open air, it was like paradise.
Two villas will be completed this summer for those who like to wind surf.
Now just back from another week out there (5th October) and it was 28 degrees every day!
