Croxley Rail link alternative
Hi My name is Anthony Meso and I live in Bushey, Hertfordshire.
TfL (Transport for London) have proposed to extend the Metropolitan Line from Croxley to Watford Junction and as well to close Watford Met station.
-The main problem for this design is that it will spoil the look of Croxley Green [a viaduct carrying trains over the canals, shrubery and grass of Croxley Green]
See link for design -

Now I agree with the benefits mentioned in the link - but I think there is a cheaper alternative that TfL have not strongly considered:
Extending the London Overground from Watford High Street to Rickmansworth. Here are the details:-
You can use the trackbed from the Disused Watford-High-Street-to-Rickmansworth-High-Street.
Where the Watford-High-Street-to-Rickmansworth-High-Street trackbed intercepts with the Metropolitan Line between Moor Park and Croxley/Rickmansworth the ground gradually rises to the same level as the Metropolitan Line and Chiltern Trains.
Then you can use the disused platform 3 at Rickmansworth for your trains.
It is cheaper than the Croxley Rail Link and it solves Watfords traffic problem as well as the traffic problems of the M1, M25 and M40.
I have never done this before but I would like to start a local resident petition to try and stop the Croxley Rail Link.
