Media company requires an interim Legal Counsel initially for a 6 month period.

The Legal Counsel is responsible for the management of legal affairs of the Company and to provide legal recommendations. You will be able to provide expertise where necessary on issues that could affect the business’s UK and European operations and be aware of intellectual property, employment law, business/commercial as well as health and safety issues affecting the company and to advise accordingly.

The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with at least two years experience of working in the commercial legal sector. You will have proven drafting skills and experience of supervision as the Legal Counsel has one direct report. You must have an initiative and an assertive approach, combined with diplomacy and careful attention to detail. First-rate interpersonal skills are demanded, as the role demands liaising with all levels of the business.

Immediate start, this role offers the chance of longer term opportunities.

We would expect a lawyer with the given PQE to have gained the level of experience required, but this does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE.
