This is a unique opportunity for someone to join this company in a varied and exciting role. The main role of the successful candidate will be to control and to grow the online property sales and lettings division within the company, however they will also be involved in the house doctoring; interior design and show home design aspect of the business at times as well.

This will be a position with a high commission rate of 40% on the estate agency side and an hourly rate for any interior design work undertaken. You will be doing both sales and lettings, so any estate agency experience, within property sales particularly, will be a real bonus.

I am looking for an experienced Interior Design Assistant/Sales & Lettings Negotiator to help me run my business in House Doctoring – Property Design and Refurbishment, and head up the new division of online Sales & Lettings.

The company has been trading for just over 6 years, since July 2003. Anyone applying should be happy to join a small and friendly organisation. They will be working closely with myself, as well as on their own. Hence a competent and responsible person is required for this position. You must be either a qualified and experienced Interior designer with a head for sales or have a proven track record in estate agency. Additional training will be given to the right candidate.

Note: You Must Have a Full Clean Driving Licence and Your Own Car. Please Do Not Apply if you don’t have these as You Will Not Be Considered.

Applicants should have excellent organizational skills, good clear communication skills, and a friendly and professional telephone manner and be willing to learn and do new things. Excellent written English and literacy skills are essential.

Applicants must be experienced and competent in Word, Excel, Photo Shop, and Power Point any CAD design software such as Vector Works and knowledge of Quick Books -Clearly Book Keeping would also be a bonus.

The selected applicant will be required to; organize and manage a diary, book viewings, attend sales and lettings viewings, drive clients to and from viewings, sell and let properties, organize HIP’s, Floor Plans, Photos, amongst others, advertising and marketing, tout for new business and go on market appraisals to take on new properties, (Full training will be given), manage a portfolio of properties. Undertake general and specific admin work, help with the book keeping and invoicing - (training will be given if necessary),

The selected applicant may also be required to help with; general office duties, booking consultations, writing reports and schedules of works, ordering furniture, dealing with marketing and advertising, dealing with contractors, clients and furniture companies, help with market research, organising PR with local press, and partake in networking when needed. They will need an anything goes kind of attitude as will generally be required to chip in and get hands dirty wherever necessary. The candidate may also be required to attend jobs with the director to get a better understanding of the company and for training purposes, with a view to running their own design projects in the future, if this side of the business interests them.

I am looking for a hard working, dedicated and loyal person who will be able to give personal contribution into the growth of this business. They should be well organised with excellent literacy skills, confident, smart in appearance, out going and personable, able to work under pressure, use their own initiative, and input ideas into the company.
This position could be highly rewarding for the right persons career if they wish to move on within the company as it grows, or spread their wings in a partnership/franchise venture for themselves.

The hours will be long and varied and you will need to be the kind of person who knows the kind of dedication it takes to grow a start up business. You may need to work weekends as this is when lots of people are free to attend viewings. You will be required to work around about 40+hrs per week and need to be flexible with these depending on current deadlines.

Exceptional staff members will be rewarded for their performances at appropriate times, and the possibility of owning their own Partnership/franchise in the company may be offered in some special cases in the future.
