NP Teaching are representing a well established school in UAE, 100 kilometres North of Dubai who are looking for an experienced International Baccalaureate Art Teacher to join them from September 2010.

You will need to have a UK teaching qualification or equivalent, with at least 2 years experience. You will be teaching Art on the IB program and experience of this syllabus is essential.

There are two schools on this site, one run on the International Baccalaureate curriculum and one that is run on the British Curriculum. Both schools are well established and popular having been in the area for over 20 years.

The ideal person will have trained in the UK and then possibly had some time of working in an international setting in order to have the ability to adapt to the different situations and be able to modify their teaching ethos to suit the needs of the school.

Students at this school come from all over the world although 60% are local Emirati children.
Ras Al Khaimah itself is a typical Middle East Town - buzzing and busy, with some industry based here. The local community are fairly liberal and are tolerant to respectful overseas nationals living here. It is a safe area with a strong family tradition. Teachers are housed within the community and therefore it is easy to soon feel welcomed into this part of the UAE. Dubai is about an hour away for people that wish to have a more upbeat weekend every now and then

There is also a heavy emphasis on outdoor s sports and activities and for teachers with an interest in sports this is a good way to make friends within the community. Ras Al Khaimah boarders Oman where are within easy reach of beautiful beaches, and activities like swimming with wild dolphins and deep sea fishing.
