Financial Controller
A high profile Mental Health Trust in South London are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their busy finance function. With line management responsibility for 3 direct reports, you will be working with external partners as well as internal departments, helping to drive the Trust forward by delivering exceptional performance. As Financial Controller you will also be responsible for successfully steering the Trust through year end and beyond.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsibility for 3 direct reports, within a finance function of over 20, leading the team and ensuring accurate reporting
- Manage and co-ordinate completion of the Trust Annual Accounts and Charitable Funds Accounts
- Responsibility for financial accounts, a/p, a/r, ledger control, treasury management/investment, charitable funds, and capital asset register
- Plan the Annual Statutory Accounts and play a key role in leading the year end process
Skills & Experience:
You will be a CCAB qualified accountant, with experience post qualification of financial and statutory accounting within the NHS, preferably with IFRS experience. Due to the structure of the team and nature of the role as central to the finance function, NHS experience is an absolute must, as is the ability to supervise and manage staff.
