The company: Apex is a leading operator of 4-Star, contemporary hotels in the UK and currently has 6 hotels in its portfolio. Although the company was only established in 1996, its rise has been meteoric and it continues to grow year-on-year. Indeed, so far this year it has opened a Apex Waterloo Place in Edinburgh and will be adding a further property to the London collection in November, Apex London Wall. Apex as a company prides itself on delivering outstanding customer service and last year the Apex City of London Hotel won the Large Hotel of the Year at the prestigious Visit London Awards.

The Restaurant: Off The Wall Restaurant & Bar will be located within the confines of Apex London Wall Hotel serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. This stylish City restaurant will serve traditional British A La Carte to the surrounding corporate and commercial market. Working with an experienced Head Chef the menu will change every 4-6 weeks working with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Sitting up to 60 covers in the winter and 80 in the summer with use of the restaurant terrace, Off the Wall will be the number 1 restaurant in the City.

The Role: We are now looking for 2 x Commis Chefs to join us in our main kitchen. This is a great opportunity to learn and to develop your skills as a chef in a great kitchen with a helpful and talented team around you. You will have the opportunity to move around the kitchen and work on every section to increase your knowledge.

We are offering the right candidates a strong salary of around £15,000 per year plus service charge tips but above all, we are offering you the chance to learn and be developed.

All we ask is that you have a good understanding of food and some experience of working in a kitchen environment. Above all, you must be hard working and enthusiastic about food. Working week is 40 hour week, 5 days on and 2 days off.

Role: Kitchen Porter
Location: Apex London Wall - Off the Wall Restaurant (NEW OPENING!)
Salary: £5.91 x 50 hours a week with 2 days off.
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for 2 strong, hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porters to work in busy restaurant. Experience in role would be advantageous but all CV's will be considered. Possibility to develop into Commis Chef in future so an interest in kitchen work and food is desirable.
