Finance Manager
My large NHS client is urgently recruiting a finance manager for a temporary period of 3-4 months. This role is key for the department and will require candidates to have previous NHS experience and be able to commit to the entire assignment duration.
Main responsibilities will be:
To produce monthly actual year to date and forecast position for the year. Provide explanations for significant variances and any corrective actions for board reporting, and to ensure transparency in the relevant monthly financial reporting process that enables reconciliation of the PCT reported position. To provide effective budgetary control to the Trust by producing regular, meaningful and accurate income and expenditure information to budget holders by the formulation of appropriate budget setting methodologies and ensuring these are accurately recorded in the financial ledger system.
To analyse and report significant budgetary variances and to analyse costs and make recommendations to develop cost improvement plans.
Candidates will need to have excellent communication skills and have managed staff previously.
