We are a community voluntary group based in Hackney offering basic skills development training in arts.
You must be aged 16- and over, some dance experience would be useful, an enthusiasm for teaching, sharing your skills and working with the community. We are particularly interested in applications from those of you who don’t currently have many opportunities to access dance. The course is free to attend, but you must be able to commit to attending on every day of the course

Next session comences Saturday 28th Nov 2009 at 11am - 12.30pm.
Registration fee is only £10.

From the course you will gain the following skills and knowledge:
•How to plan and prepare for the delivery of dance classes or workshops
•Basic communication skills for leading a dance activity
•Principles of health, fitness and safe dance practice
•Understanding the relationship of music to dance
•Leadership skills in dance.
