As an electrician, technician or machine engineer you are familiar with the nature of most parts of the wind mill such as gearbox, hub, hydraulic systems, bearing, generator, electrical systems, security systems, control systems etc. At the moment our wind mill manager is busy building and testing the Frequency Converter which will give us the ultimate yield of our wind energy.
The Manager at Tvindkraft, Mr Allan Lund was educated as a ship's engineer and has operated the wind mill since 1982. He will teach and instruct you until you know how to run and maintain Tvindkraft, a one of a kind piece of technique.
Apart from operating the Wind Mill you will be connected to one of the school units at Tvind School Centre.
We are around 150 people living in Tvind. We live in a community. We speak mostly English.
The teachers are also an international group - we come from Denmark , Sweden , Germany , China and Malawi . You will be integrated in the teachers council and the management of Tvindkraft.
You should
- have education and / or experience with technical work (machine engineering, car mechanics, electricity, oil-fired burner, ship engines or alike)
- have interest in innovations and renewable energy methods
- be good in working with people / teaching students
- like all kinds of practical work – also building tasks, cleaning and garden farming
- be ready to take pedagogical tasks with single students at the school centre


The work contract:
- 1 month of learning
- Minimum 1 year contract
- Half time working at Tvindkraft, half time working at the school centre
- Possibility for food and accommodation at the school centre
- Part of weekly meetings in the school unit and in Tvindkraft
- Part of cultural arrangements and promotion of the Wind Mill
- Salary according to qualifications
