Chlodyl Morgan and Money Mona are companies concentrating in consumer lending and Banking asset backed finance . We are seeking a Director of Consumer Lending for a direct-hire position in London. Esssential Duties and Responsibilites: - The Director of Consumer Lending is responsible for the management of the consumer and indirect lending areas of VISA Services and Loan Servicing. - The primary responsibility is to achieve department metrics and goals and to grow and develop the consumer lending team. - Provides leadership, motivation and coaching to the consumer lending staff of which team you will create. - Manages the consumer lending pipeline to meet department service levels, production and conversion ratio goals - Determines appropriate staffing levels based on loan volume - Collaborates with other departments to continuously improve the lending product line to meet member needs. - Ensures regulatory compliance for all consumer lending department policies and procedures to staff. - Ensures staff is trained on policy, procedure and service levels. - Manages and maintains effective and user friendly loan application systems for staff and members. - Develops user friendly forms and forms management. - Continuously enhances and streamlines processes and procedures to improve operational efficiencies and member service delivery. - Monitors fraud controls and manages fraud loss. - Manages projects and project teams. - Promotes and supports business development opportunities. - Monitors the current market and competition to optimize the credit consumer lending strategy. - Manages vendor partners to provide ancillary products and services and monitors their performance. - Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Office of Fair Trading,CIFAS and the FSA guidlines. - Respond to all audit findings. - This position may have loan servicing oversight responsibilities. - Through the Loan Servicing Manager, The Director of Consumer Lending is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and administration of all loan types including but not limited to First and Second Mortgage Loans, Unsecured and Secured consumer Loans, Direct and Indirect Auto Loans and VISA credit or debit cards and any interbanking transfers. - The Director is accountable for the day-to-day supervision of designated management and employees whose specific duties will involve: loan escrows, payoffs, account data changes, member inquiries, analysis and adjustments and document storage. Supervisory Responsibililties: - Supervises the management staff of consumer lending, indirect lending, VISA Credit Card Services and loan servicing position and the subordinate employees of these areas. - Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. - Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Credit policies and applicable laws. - Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees - Planning assigning and directing work - Appraising performance - Rewarding and disciplining employees - Addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree from a four year accredited college/university and 10+ years of progressive lending/loan servicing supervision experience in a financial institution.
