The Generator is the largest travel hostel in central London we are looking for enthusiastic Shop Assistants to work in our Travel shop that is based in the hostel. The travel shop is open from 8am to 1am.

The Travel Shop sells everything from Generator merchandise to tours and excursions.

We are looking for people who are:
Creative as the role involves putting together posters and advertising excursions.
Customer focused with excellent customer service skills as you will be interacting and selling products to our guests.
Able to show initiative and work on their own and be a self starter.
Must have a passion for the tourism industry and have good knowledge about London.

You will be responsible for:
Ensuring that the shop is fully stocked at all times.
Selling tours and travel packages.
Researching for activities and events that take place in London and advertising them on posters.
Updating notice boards with travel updates and excursions.
Cash handling and Stock take.
Opening and closing the shop.
Promoting and selling all merchandise in the shop.
Giving guests advice and information about London and tour packages.

You must be computer literate and enjoy interacting and dealing with different people as there is alot of customer contact.

You will be working 40 hours per week. The shifts are 8am-4pm and 4pm-1am. You will be required to work one of the two shifts per week.

The salary for this position is £11,481.60 per annum.
