We are looking for a lovely, caring and fun live-in Au Pair to take care of our two affectionate and well-behaved children (boy, nearly 6 and girl, nearly 4) four days a week. A typical day will involve dropping the kids at school/nursery, picking the 4-yr old up at 12 and the 6-yr old at 3.30 pm, supervising afternoon activities and getting their tea. Hours are 8-9 am, and then 12-6.30 pm. Babysitting two evenings a week when required, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are normally completely free unless you are babysitting. Occasionally we may ask you to work on a Friday and exchange this for another day off during the week. Overtime will be paid for extra hours worked during school holidays.

We live in Balham, South West London, nearest tube is Balham (Northern Line – Zone 3) which is a short 10 minutes walk. It is 20 minutes into central London by tube or train.

Balham is a very lively area for socialising and has a good range of shops. Lots of shops, bars, cafes and a library and a gym/swimming pool close by. Also very good English Courses are available at colleges very close by if you wish to attend to improve your English. There are lots of au pairs living in the area and it is very easy to meet other au pairs at our children’s activities or at College.

Your room is a huge double room, with plenty of light and storage. There is a television, freeview, dvd, computer provided and wireless internet. You would have a bathroom on the same floor which is shared only with the children.

All food is included. We have a cleaner so no cleaning is required, but we would expect you to keep the children’s rooms tidy and do their laundry.

Pay: £110 per week.


We are looking for someone to start in December or early January and who can commit to being with us until at least September 2010. You must already be in the UK and available to come over to meet with us for a face-to-face chat.

You must be a good English speaker, have experience with children, non smoker and over 21. You must also have checkable references.
