Financial Controller with strong business experience.

The Brief

This is a permanent full-time position based from our offices near Canary Wharf

We require a new member with the strategic thinking ability to develop a clear vision of the future incorporating wide-ranging issues and long-term business planning. You should have experience with operational and management issues outside the finance department of business and be able to participate in all aspects of the business.

It is extremely important that you are organized, a strategic thinker, that you have a knack for dealing with detail and that you have a high level of competence and understanding for computer literacy in financial system software, notably Sage line 50.

You should be able to automate, improve and streamline the tasks and process of the accounts requirement for this business. The business has grown quite rapidly and is now positioned for the next stage of growth, systems and procedures need to be not only in place but adhered to. You will ensure that this is done

You will be working directly on a day-to-day basis with our operations Director in a two person team who will share the accounting and operations responsibilities.

Managing all the day to day finances and requirements of a small business
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of year end accounts
New business opportunity business plans
Cash flow forecasting and reporting
Preparation of quarterly VAT information and Return
Maintenance of accurate Sage 50 accounting system
Statutory and Tax Reporting

You will report directly to the company director and the operation director

Salary: 30K+
