Locum Band 7 Neurology Occupational Therapist

Locum Occupational Therapist required to start ASAP for 3-6 Months Ongoing month OT position.

The Occupational Therapy Acute Neurology position requires someone with previous Acute Neurology experience willing to work at Band 7 level.

Team Leadership:

• Providing leadership to a clinical team, including staff of a variety of grades.
• Providing mentoring and support to team and departmental staff
• Providing workload management for the team
• Providing CPD, supervision and appraisal of team

Clinical Leadership:

• Providing advice, practical guidance and training to own team and department in specialist clinical area
• Manage a complex neurology caseload
• Apply OT expertise in developing clinical services and, support the Head OT and Therapies manager in implementing service changes across the department.
• Keep up to date with current evidence base and national policy relating to specialist clinical area
• Develop and maintain relationships with other professionals and external agencies relevant to clinical setting

Departmental duties:

• Deputise in the absence of the Head OT as required
• Participate in and lead when appropriate on departmental projects
• Complete audit and research projects as appropriate
• Represent the department in a professional manner at internal and external meetings as appropriate.
• Develop and support the implementation of clinical policies, protocols and guidelines
• Assist with induction, student training and education of OT staff and others
