Qualified Social Worker Fostering
We have a fantastic opportunity for a GSCC registered Social Worker to join Fostering Team in West London.
Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the recruitment, preparation and assessment of foster carers and other substitute families to meet the needs of looked after children.
2. To provide and take part in training programmes for potential and approved foster carers.
3. To organise and run support groups/activities for foster carers and their families.
4. Attend the Fostering Panel and provide reports as required.
5. To manage a caseload agreed between the Social Worker and his/her line manager supporting, supervising and developing foster carers.
6. To undertake work, alone and with other, on complex child-related cases.
7. To participate in a duty system.
8. Participate in regular supervision and manage a caseload agreed with the line manager.
9. To support and supervise foster carers and prepare and provide reports for their Annual Review.
10. To participate in regular team meetings and team development events.
Pay rate is between £20 and £24 per hour.
GSCC Registration is essential.
