Hello fellow petrolhead / culture vulture / pub quiz guru / beer drinker or just plain sightseer.

We've got a 20 year old Volvo estate, 3000 miles of open road and 2 spare comfy leather seats.

What's the scoop? We're partaking in a banger rally ,with 100 or so other teams, taking in some of Europes best roads and mountain passes ending up in sunny Rome. Setting off on the night of the 18th September, we'll travel through France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy ending up in Rome on the night of the 22nd September. We'll then be slowly making our way back to Blighty for around the 28th September.

Where do you fit in? Well, we're looking for someone to share the petrol costs! The route back is open to suggestion and indeed, if you're interested you can just join us for part of the route if you so wish. It's a competition though, so worth staying on until we reach Rome as there's share in a £1000 prize fund at stake.

About us:

Tom and Mark are both in our mid 20s. Tom likes real Ale, food, winning, food and has a veritable enclyclopedia of general knowledge stored in his brain. Did I mention food? Mark likes sightseeing, taking far too many photos, fine cuisine and is slightly useful on such a trip for speaking some German. Tom will load the CD player with alternative rock, Mark will bring Abba.

About You:

You won't grumble at splitting the costs equally. You can come on your own or with a friend (we've up to 2 seats to fill). You should have a sense of adventure and be chilled enough to spend long days stuck cooped up in a car. You can drive if you want to, or not if you dont. Seeing as Mark is writing this, you should like cheesy disco. Actually.. anyone can really apply - the only criteria is that you can make the dates above :o)
