Blackout Ltd specialises in the manufacture, sale, hire and installation of drapes, starcloths and textile fabrication for the events industry. Due to promotions internally we are currently looking for Warehouse staff to join our busy team, duties will include drape preparation, order picking and general warehouse tasks.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30 to 5.30pm (37.5 hours per week).

-Applicants should be 18+, fit, hard working, team player and have a flexible approach to overtime.
-British Driving Licence (with no more than 3 points).

Starting salary circa £15,000 p.a. according to age and experience.

20 days holiday, 8 Public Bank Holidays, uniform provided.

This is a permanent position.

DRIVER/ WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT
• Vehicle loading/unloading.
• Drape cleaning and folding.
• Accurate order picking to schedule.
• Prompt and efficient off-hire checking.
• Stock checks as required.
• General housekeeping of department.
• Maintain safe working practices in line with company policy.
• Undertake job swaps to assist other departments as necessary.
• Delivery and collection of hire orders, sub-hired equipment etc.
• Delivery and collection to installation work sites.
• Daily checks on vehicles to ensure safe and roadworthy.
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles.

TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE
• A team player.
• Flexibile.
• Able to work to fixed deadlines.
• Literate & numerate.
• Flexible and willing to work overtime if required.
• Be capable to drive all company vehicles to an acceptable standard.
• Have a working knowledge of London and South East area/ UK Motorways.
• Able to work to fixed deadlines.
• Have initiative and self-reliance.
• Have a sound knowledge of the highway code.
