Finance Controller, Temp or Perm, London
Privately owned West End based Media Company seeks a Financial Controller to join the finance team, as soon as possible. Contractors also considered.
Established for over 20 years, and a recognised industry leader in its field, VSI (www.vsi.tv) seeks a Financial Controller to support the Finance Director and the rest of the London finance team in building appropriate management reporting and control systems to bring together the recently expanded European businesses and operations.
Specifically the role will entail:
• Production of monthly management reports, including commentaries
• Working with heads of department to improve the quality of the reports and the performance of their business units
• Various ad hoc analysis to support the above or as part of other business development initiatives
• Supporting various management system upgrade activities
This is an excellent opportunity to build on experience in a growing business in the media sector, as well as gain significant exposure to broader commercial and operational issues.
The successful candidate must:
• Be ACA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
• Have two years post qualification experience, ideally some of which is in a medium sized business, though relevant practice experience considered
• Be technically sound, and able to apply that knowledge in the real world
• Have excellent excel skills, and be confident working with figures from different financial/project management IT systems
• Have experience in either media, professional services businesses or businesses that are primarily project management orientated
The successful candidate will:
• Be self organised, proactive and willing to take ownership of problems
• Be able to see problems from multiple angles to find the best solution
• Be personable, professional and able to work with other specialists with a range of different skills and working styles
Package:
• £40,000 to £45,000, depending on experience.
