You should have several years experience of server-side Java and the agile software development of web-based applications. The following skills are essential for this role:

- Java (particularly the Spring framework)

- Databases (Hibernate and MySql)

- Application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)

-Linux

Any experience of the following technologies and frameworks would be a bonus: web services, JUnit, Tapestry, Subversion, Maven, Hudson, Perl, Python, AJAX, XML processing, RSS, natural language processing and workflow engines. Interest in distributed computing would be a plus.
