We have two girls (11 & 9) and a boy (7) and are looking for an enthusiastic au-pair to join us from the end of November or start of December when our lovely au-pair returns home after over a year with us.

You will help out mainly in the afternoon to evening, escorting children back from school by bicycle - it is only a mile away, but you will be confident on a bicycle (as the children are), supervising homework and look after them until I take over, sometimes cooking a healthy meal and tidying the kitchen at the end of the day. In the holidays, you will ensure the children are safe, busy and having fun, and we will arrange the hours to suit both you and us. The position also entails ironing, some housework, bits and bobs which help keep a household functioning (which can all be done at a time to suit you) and some babysitting.

You will be paid £80/pw for 5 hours a day, plus a few evenings baby-sitting per week. If you have good English and computer skills, there is also the opportunity to undertake some basic office work (for which you would be recompensed).

We are very used to having au-pairs, who have been very happy living with us - references available! The street has lots of au-pairs from many countries so it is easy to make friends. You get your own room with TV and wireless connection and own bathroom (shared if guests are staying). We have a busy, friendly house and 2 cats. Central London is a short bus-ride or cycle away and there are good local language schools.
