Operations Analyst
The Company
Robert Half International are currently recruiting for an operations specialist to join a leading emerging market fund to be responsible for front to back operations reporting directly into the COO.
The Role
Lead role in back-office for a small long-only emerging market fund manager, responsible for calculation of trade orders, settlements, valuations , reconciliations, liaison with executing brokers, fund administrators and client custodians, record keeping on trades and portfolio positions. RESPONSIBILITIES
-Calculating orders for Fund Managers to place with brokers, instructing settlement to appropriate client custodians, pricing and monitoring positions daily on each client portfolio, cash management, monitoring corporate actions, fx trades.
-Entering all trades and ensuring audit trails are maintained in the system for all trades; Filing hard copies of all dealing blotters and matching broker confirmations.
-Managing settlement process on a daily basis and daily cash reconciliations.
-Liaison with funds administrators and client custodians at valuation point and reconciliation of client custodial portfolios with positions
-Provide specific trade reporting as may be agreed with the client
-Monitor holdings and provide accurate reporting of positions for timely filings by Compliance to regulatory agencies on holdings.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
-University graduate preferable but not essential
-Competent/strong excel skills (no beginners)
-Visual Basic and scripting beneficial
-1- 2 years experience in portfolio administration, specifically handling trade placement and portfolio reconciliations.
-Experience of emerging markets settlements preferable
