My client provides marketing support and advice to more than 150  leading international companies and are recognised as one of the UK’s Top 100 employers.

They currently have a role within their group finance function  for a Group Accountant reporting to the Group Financial Controller. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering and improving group reporting processes and will have involvement in group financial accounting and tax as well as providing support in the planning process.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation of management accounts including variance analysis and writing Board commentary
Coordination of monthly results, forecasts and budgets, requiring good relationships with local Finance teams.
Involvement in statutory year end process including audit prep
Balance sheet reconciliations
Fixed asset accounting
Ad hoc tasks

This is a high visibility role in a dynamic and fast paced environment. To be the successful candidate here, you must be a passed finalist or qualified accountant with commercial experience in a group environment. Strong communication skills at all levels, a positive approach and strong systems skills are also desirable.
