The Longines brand speaks for itself and this lovely dress watch is a very wearable classic. It has a signed dial and movement, more commonly seen in later watches, often with a stainless steel Longines-signed case. This one comes in a 9ct gold case date marked 1947 with a maker's mark of "H&S". The date mark on the case is consistent with the date of the Longines movement number, so is surely original. This watch is a lovely example of this practice and a true piece of the era. It also keeps time exceptionally well.
