It Mcse Study Partners
Looking to start a IT technical study group max 3 people to improve practical skills through labs/workshop environment.
My background.
I've been an IT second line support analyst for about 10 years but am stuck in a rut. Due to quick pace of IT technologies, my MCSE 2000 qualification is long out of date. I want to maintain and develop new skills but find myself uninspired. Hence the idea of a forum/workshop.
I'm hoping there are others like me wanting to get back into the learning process but from a pratical hands on perspective. No problem if you want to study for exams like the MSCE 2008, personally I want to get my hands dirty by troubleshooting and configuring real world scenerios.
I'm currently buying a server in the hope of running a vmware network of servers and operating systems for the purpose of learning about different server operating systems. Not only do I want to master operating systems like Windows Server 2003/2008, I also want to work stuff like Exchanger Server 2003/2008, ISA, IIS, Active Directory, SQL and Windows domain environments.
Other than the typical Microsoft systems, I'm interested in scripting, Unix and Lynx, MAC support, CCNA, router configuration.
Have no problem with a wide range of skill sets and experience, looking to meet with people who are enthusiatic about wanting to get on with their IT careers.
Hope this strikes a cord with people so feel free to give me a call on 07941 372401 or email: shadowalka@hotmail.com
