Our client is a very entrepreneurial investment consulting business, part of a large group of financial service providers. This role would provide the opportunity to work within a small close-knit team, where the individual will get full exposure to the running of an investment business.

They are looking for commercially minded lawyers, as the role will sit within the business.The ideal candidate will have: Experience in either Funds Management, Investment Management, Private Equity, Financial Markets products and or Capital Markets exposure;· Solid experience and confidence drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and investment-related documentation would be beneficial.· Relevant experience gained within a law firm or in-house;· Experience in structuring and or establishing funds beneficial as is experience of working within a Derivatives function.· Knowledge of UCITS and or MiFID is beneficial;· Capacity to negotiate with external counterparties and or manage external legal counsel as required;· Experience negotiating or reviewing ISDA master agreements beneficial.Ideally, the candidate will have experience in investment management or funds work gleaned within a prominent asset management firm, investment bank or leading funds or financial services practice.

We would expect a lawyer with the given PQE to have gained the level of experience required, but this does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE.
