We are recruiting on their behalf for experienced Expatriate Tax Consultants to be part of a team dealing with a portfolio of clients, delivering a quality compliance and advisory service to both clients and Managers and identifying opportunities to cross sell the firm’s services.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of up to 100 clients, consulting managers and directors where applicable
- To prepare and complete to the time budget provided by the manager so that they are “client ready”, including UK and US (1040) tax returns, Trust and Partnership returns, Non resident US tax returns identifying US source income and identify potential State filing requirements and to prepare State tax returns
- To act principally as a preparer of US and UK tax returns for a portfolio of expatriate tax clients within the Expat Team whilst identifying and notifying the client of opportunities in which the client’s taxes can be minimised
- Attend meetings with clients and in certain cases to lead those meetings
- Assist in the development of the firm’s expatriate practice, by assisting in presentations to potential clients, at seminars and one off interviews

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will:

- Be fully qualified ACA /ACCA / CTA or equivalent
- Demonstrate proficiency in “ProFX” for US and “TaxPoint” for UK returns
- Demonstrate up to date knowledge and application of other current UK and US tax legislation
- Understand the capital gains tax issues (both UK and US)
- Be familiar with the different classes of National Insurance, the rules for UK individuals working abroad and overseas individuals working in the UK
- Understand the different tax treatment of individuals who are not domiciled in the UK and be able to define domicile for income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax purposes
