Qualified Social Worker
We are currently seeking a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 1 years experience in the Child Protection and Fostering team in the North London Area.
Responsibilities:
1. To work as part of a team to provide, co-ordinate and develop a comprehensive service for children and young people needing family based, short term and emergency placements.
2. To undertake the recruitment, assessment, preparation, training, support and reviews of people offering placements.
3. To participate in a duty service for the Family Placements Team providing a placements service for the Division.
4. To share in the development of information and publicity that is sensitive to the needs of all cultural groups about the services provided by the Family Placements Team.
5. To help ensure that services offered by the team meet the needs of the multi-racial and cultural community in the borough
6. To assist in the identification and assessment of placement needs.
7. To co-ordinate and work with staff on child care planning and preparation work with children and young people in relation to family placements
8. To review carers in accordance with statutory and departmental requirements.
9. At all times carrying out responsibilities and duties with due regard to legislation and to the Council's child care policies and within the framework of an integrated range if services for children and their families.
10. To participate in the development and updating of policy practice and procedures as relevant to the post.
Pay rate is between £23 and £25 per hour
GSCC Registration is essential.
