Are you anorexic? Let s have lunch
* Are you significantly underweight or anorexic?
* Are you experiencing difficulties to eat sufficiently?
* Has eating out become so painful that you now feel the need to eat at home exclusively, controlling your food portions?
Well, I’d like to take you to lunch. Yes, no joke.
Here is the idea: I am a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner, and have now been studying psychology for a number of years. In addition, and due to a number of causes (from being French to eating out extensively because of business trips, not to mention a true passion for all aspects of the culinary arts), I happen to be a serious foodie.
Recent life events got me to realise that, no matter what may cause the actual eating disorder, a less than pleasant relationship with food can have more important damaging consequences than food for the person suffering from it, from losing the ability to interact socially to living like a recluse, losing friends or social opportunities.
So, I’d like to offer you the following: an empowering eating out experience. Concretely:
- We’ll meet before the event itself, and will help you define goals for the occasion
- I’ll share with you some of the many tricks that I’ve gathered as a gastronome, and that can make a huge difference when it comes to having a great dining out experience. Think: choosing the place and time, selecting the table, deciding what to order, how to manage waiters, how to send a plate back to the kitchen, how to pay etc...
- I’ll make sure you are and stay safe and comfortable in a place that would normally may not be so for you (a restaurant) and will ensure that you leave the table with new skills and a stronger sense of self when it comes to managing all things food-related
- Also worth mentioning:
o Some of you may even not find it easy to enter a restaurant. That’s ok too. We can work on that
o You may decide that sit at a table and not eat is the furthest you’re able to go. That’s ok too
o This will be also a normal lunch or dinner with casual chats. After all, good banter is part of life around a table, isn’t it?
o The boundaries of this time will be that of standard coaching, i.e. client-coach confidentiality
- Price? You buy your food, I buy mine. No fee for my time
- Where: London area
What’s in it for you? A small change in your experience, new skills that will come handy in your life for something that you need to do whether you enjoy to or not
What’s in it for me? Learn about something I’m genuinely interested in, the chance refine my coaching skills, maybe a book or a TV series at a later stage. In any case a sincere attempt to create something I believe can make a positive difference in the life of people experiencing an eating disorder.
